Mason Schools Foundation has been supporting the Mason City School District since 2008 and this very unusual year is no exception. MSF is an independent non-profit organization (EIN: 26-2662719). We fund grants proposed by Mason educators in the areas of academics, athletics, the arts, and diverse learners. Included in this year’s grants were: Comet Café on wheels; an inspiring visit from legendary social entrepreneur Alvin Irby sharing ideas on how to inspire inclusion in hearts, classrooms, and communities; and providing additional support to the Mason Chronicle. What a positive impact these will make on our community!

In spite of masks, social distancing and living in an ever-changing world, our fundraising efforts continue, including our annual gala. We hope that you will join us in raising funds to support Mason City Schools during our Ultimate Virtual Gala on September 26, 2020! Just like everything else these days, this gala will be different but just as memorable! This event is for EVERY family of Mason City Schools! We invite you to purchase a “ticket” which will include our exclusive 2020 Mason Time Capsule filled with fun activities and items to remind families of this unusual time in our history. You won’t want to miss it as this is sure to be one of the highlights of the year! Let’s be honest who wouldn’t enjoy putting this year in a box? The night of the event, we will broadcast a brief program while offering a delicious take out meal from the Manor House, as well as an online silent auction, contests throughout the night, paddle call, and awards ceremony.
