The Mason Schools Foundation was founded 10 years ago by district leaders and committed community members who believed a successful public school system should be the cornerstone of our community. The concept of our founders and initial board set in motion MSF’s vision to help take students and staff above and beyond what the district can provide with tax payer funds. Mindy is honored to have served alongside men and women on the MSF board since its inception and proud of the collective efforts that allows MSF to give back to our schools.

Before moving to Mason 10 years ago, Nathalie and her husband moved every few years, they are thrilled to have now settled down in Mason! As Nathalie’s three kids got older and she had more time to volunteer in the community she wanted to find a way to give back and support the wonderful schools her kids are attending. Most years, Nathalie’s kids were in three different buildings and she wanted to support Mason City Schools as a whole. Once she heard about the Mason Schools Foundation and about all of the wonderful ways MSF supports our schools, Nathalie knew it would be a great fit for her family. Nathalie loves to travel and is always looking for her families next adventure. Her family also travels to Switzerland frequently to visit Nathalie’s parents.

Danita and her husband Jim have called Mason home since they relocated here in 1997, outside of a two- year international assignment. As a mom to three boys with different interests, Danita understands the importance of creating an environment where each can thrive and appreciates the district’s approach to holistic learning. Mason is known for its academic excellence, award winning fine arts, title claiming athletic programs and is consistently a leader in public education. Danita enjoys serving on the board where she can see firsthand the positive impact of innovative grants. A successful public school system, coupled with invested parents and local business owners offering diversity of thought creates a vibrant community. Danita believes this combination makes Mason a great place to live and to raise a family. One that elevates our children “Above and Beyond”
