I am so happy to be a part of the Mason Schools Foundation. I am a Deerfield Township resident with 10-year-old twins in Mason Schools who are entering the 5th grade next year. I am also an attorney with my practice located right off Duke Drive in Deerfield Township and a proud member of the Mason Deerfield (MADE) Chamber of Commerce.

Alicia has lived in Mason since 2008. She moved here with her husband, Julian and two sons. Alicia worked in the library at MECC for three years while her sons attended school there. Alicia LOVES all things Mason. She has served as PTO President (as well as various other positions) at Western Row, Mason Intermediate, and Mason Middle School. She began volunteering for the Mason Schools Foundation 9 years ago and joined the MSF Board 4 years ago. She also serves on the Mason Parks and Recreation Foundation Board. When Alicia is not volunteering for the schools, she serves on the Board and as a costume designer for Acting Up young performers community theater group and loves to read and travel with her family.

My family (husband Scott and three boys) moved to Mason in 2011. We love Mason Schools and the community and believe it’s a great place to raise a family. As a stay at home mom I consider it my full-time job to get as involved as possible. I have supported the schools through the classroom, the PTO, and the MSF since moving here. I served as PTO president at Western Row and have held various PTO Board positions at all the other buildings. I enjoy reading, cooking, rollerblading, and hanging out with my boys (9th grader, 5th grader and Kindergartener).

Our kids are the future, they must be prepared.

The Mason Schools Foundation was founded 10 years ago by district leaders and committed community members who believed a successful public school system should be the cornerstone of our community. The concept of our founders and initial board set in motion MSF’s vision to help take students and staff above and beyond what the district can provide with tax payer funds. Mindy is honored to have served alongside men and women on the MSF board since its inception and proud of the collective efforts that allows MSF to give back to our schools.

Before moving to Mason 10 years ago, Nathalie and her husband moved every few years, they are thrilled to have now settled down in Mason! As Nathalie’s three kids got older and she had more time to volunteer in the community she wanted to find a way to give back and support the wonderful schools her kids are attending. Most years, Nathalie’s kids were in three different buildings and she wanted to support Mason City Schools as a whole. Once she heard about the Mason Schools Foundation and about all of the wonderful ways MSF supports our schools, Nathalie knew it would be a great fit for her family. Nathalie loves to travel and is always looking for her families next adventure. Her family also travels to Switzerland frequently to visit Nathalie’s parents.

Raquel and her husband were born and raised in Mexico and have lived in 2 different countries. They love raising their family in Mason. They believe education is the best gift to children and still get surprised with all of the things Mason City Schools has to offer to our children!
